It's not gonna be a quick re-start with Tesla . Regina and I are on the path. We're working on our relationship and bringing Sage and Noah to the next level in their growth. I am focused on finding a compelling mission after the last 8 amazing years. I am confident the laser will refocus. It always has. I'm going to be 40 soon. It's time to turn it up as I pass the supposed half way mark of my time on Earth. I'm glad I'm on Earth during such a compelling time. SoCal is an amazing place on Earth. America is an amazing place to live, too. God, Family, Country, Planet are all ready for me to start the next chapter; using what I've learned, while keeping my eyes open to the 99% I don't know.
Big day.
The upcoming two weeks are serious for me. I either go back to Tesla, or off on a new endeavor. I think Tesla is where my heart is. The goal will take about as long as I'm looking to work. It is so exciting to have such an important goal that I read so much about in college. I've always thought my career at Tesla didn't alight with my environmentalist focus. As I progress in my career, it is about the things that accelerate the world to sustainable energy. It's not as much about the metrics, means, or even the paycheck.

Outliers -
Reading Malcom Gladwell's book. The early premise is no one arrives at their destiny because of only there own merit. It is a culmination of training, opportunity, and things totally out of their control. I agree with the premises in the book, for sure. It seems anecdotal, but the specifics of the history/pedigree of these outliers seem to confirm his theory.
#MeToo
I understand male concern with the exuberance of #MeToo. The pendulum has been swung so far on the male side for thousands of years. If it went over the 50% mark 1 inch for the next few years, I'd be ok. As long as we can talk about it and move toward equality.
My Philosophy
I'm going to use this blog to get at what makes me tick. While I'm still ticking, that is. I think it's important to improve my perspective on the time I spend on Earth. I plan to post about those who impact my perspective and how I feel about politics, social welfare, immigration, and all the other things on my mind.
